Founding Lead
Sobre este empleo
What You Need
- 5+ years of experience in mobile games product management, live game operations, production, or studio/portfolio leadership.
- Strong experience with F2P casual mobile games.
- Experience with puzzle, word, card/solitaire, jigsaw, hidden object, match-3, or similar evergreen genres is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to improve mature or live products through iteration, LiveOps, monetization work, and data-driven testing.
- Strong understanding of retention, ARPDAU, LTV, ROAS, ad monetization, IAP, LiveOps, UA readiness, and product economics.
- Experience building or leading small cross-functional teams.
- Ability to hire and manage remote contributors across product, design, engineering, analytics, QA, and art/content.
- Comfortable working with older products, imperfect data, technical limitations, technical debt, and practical trade-offs.
- Ability to coordinate with centralized UA, AdOps, analytics, and publishing teams without losing product ownership.
- Strong communication skills and a clear decision-making style.
- Fluent English required.
- Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
- LATAM work experience or strong understanding of the LATAM gaming talent market is a plus.
- Existing network in the Argentina/Buenos Aires gaming community is a strong plus.
What You’ll Do
- Build and lead the initial LATAM-based game revival team.
- Recruit, select, onboard, and manage the first key team members, including game design/LiveOps, engineering, and, as needed, QA/release and art/content contributors.
- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and business results for assigned games.
- Lead diagnostics across candidate titles and recommend which game to revive first.
- Define the revival plan for each selected game.
- Audit existing games across FTUE, retention, monetization, content, ad logic, store promise, technical health, LiveOps, and UA readiness.
- Create a fast release cadence focused on measurable product improvements rather than large, unfocused redesigns.
- Define and run experiments to improve retention, engagement, monetization, LiveOps performance, and UA readiness.
- Build a practical LiveOps process: content calendar, events, offers, daily challenges, seasonal updates, and player communication where relevant.
- Coordinate with customer UA, AdOps, analytics, and infrastructure teams while keeping product decisions owned by the revival team.
- Establish dashboards, KPI reviews, experiment readouts, and scale/stop/continue decisions.
- Make clear ship/stop/scale/sunset recommendations based on data and product judgment.
- Establish the operating rhythm of the new team: weekly KPI reviews, product planning, release planning, and post-test readouts.
Conditions
Benefits will be discussed at the interview with stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
A hands-on mobile game operator, not a corporate coordinator. You have enough product judgment to know what matters, enough leadership ability to build a small team, enough data discipline to avoid guessing, and enough pragmatism to revive existing games without trying to rebuild everything from scratch. You understand mature games, LiveOps, monetization, legacy audiences, limited resources, and business accountability.
This role is best suited for someone who wants to run a small studio-like operation and be accountable for making revived games real products again.
About customer
Customer is a mobile game company with a portfolio of casual and puzzle games played by millions of users globally. The company has deep experience in user acquisition, ad monetization, analytics, publishing, and operating long-running mobile titles. It is exploring a new LATAM-based game revival team focused on mature and benched customer titles.
The Opportunity
As Founding Lead, you will be the first senior person responsible for building and running a small LATAM-based game revival team. We need someone who can operate like the first senior person in a new game team: assess old products, choose which ones to focus on, build a small team, create the operating rhythm, improve LiveOps and monetization, and make clear continue/scale/stop recommendations. The right person works independently with limited supervision and turns existing games into practical business opportunities rather than just creating product activity.
